Rt Rev Dr Charles McMullen, the Moderator of the Presbyterian Church in Ireland pays Camphill Community Clanabogan a visit.

Camphill Community Clanabogan was delighted to welcome a native of Omagh, Rt Rev Dr Charles McMullen, the Moderator of the Presbyterian Church in Ireland on Monday 4th February. We were able to show Rt Rev Dr Charles McMullen around our Day Opportunities workshops, in particular, the Social Care Farm which is in the process of being rebuilt after the horrific barn fire on the 28th of February last year. We are happy that Rt Rev Dr Charles McMullen took the time out of his busy schedule to pay the community a visit while out visiting his parishes.

Camphill Communities are interdenominational Communities. The community is made up of a population of residents’, vocational co-workers and staff everyone has their own unique talent and contribution. At Camphill Clanabogan, we live and work together and every person is recognised as an individual. Although some have disabilities, each one is a valued member of the Clanabogan Community and of the human community.

We have generated great public interest in our Community over the past 34 years, in particular with our Open Day which takes place on the first Saturday in June, attracting over 1000 people from all cultures and backgrounds into the Community for a fun-filled afternoon.

Any local groups are very welcome to visit the Community but we do encourage the public to come and enjoy a cup of coffee and some homemade baked goodies at The Learners’ Café which opens monthly here in the Community. This month’s café date is Friday 22nd February. For more information on arrangement a visit to the Community or a Café booking call Steven on 028 8225 6106
